Some snapshots of our summer

This summer has been so much fun for us. We have been busy, busy, busy. Chris has been gone quite a bit with work, bishopric, and even hunting. But we have still had time to fit in a lot of fun. Clara loves to be outside so we have been spending a lot of our time outside with her. I don't know WHAT we will do for winter! But here are a few things that have been going on.
Clara loves to vacuum, sweep, mop, and wipe things off. She is my big helper when it comes to cleaning. Well, that is when she does not purposely make a mess so that she can clean it up.

She has spent time in her little pool in the backyard, swimming and playing. As you can tell it does not matter if she is dressed for swimming or not. And actually she loves to be UNdressed. She will fight us when we try to put clothes back on her.

I found a few pictures from Chris' sisters wedding, and I had to put the picture of her dancing with Daddy. She LOVES to dance. She now spins and twirls when she dances too. And she dances almost every time she hears music. When she is not dancing to the music she sings. Almost every Sunday at church she has to sit in her own chair and have her own hymn book to sing the songs. And when they are over she says "agi?" (again?) And then when it doesn't continue she will cry. It is so cute! Ah, and that reminds me.. this Sunday she stood up with all the YW during the theme and tried to say it with them.
Here Clara is with Grandma and what Clara would call "cake". She loves cake.

We headed up to the canyons for a picnic in July. It was a lot of fun. We love to be in the mountains in the summer, roasting marshmallows etc.

We caught Clara digging for gold...in her nose. The funnies thing about this is that the more we tell her not to the more she does it. Then when we try to take her finger out for her she moves her head to the finger you are pulling away so she can keep digging. She is quite vigilant, or stubborn. We never question what she wants because she sure lets us know.

She loves to sit in big people chairs. She likes to sit in this chair in her room and read her books.

She also loves to ride on her bike and in the neighbors car. She now will walk to the neighbors house and get in the car all on her own now. Thanks Brian and Korinne for letting Clara play with your toys!

Two staples of our summer activities have been going to the splash park and the local reservoir. Clara absolutely loves both of them. She looks so cute in her little sunglasses.

Grandma brought her back a purse from NYC and Clara loves to walk around the house with it. She is such a girly girl. She has a major shoe fetish, loves jewelry, painting her toes, clothes, and purses!

I think we have reached the terrible two's prematurely. She throws quite the tantrums already. She is definitely DRAMA! In one of her tantrums she was biting the carpet, I thought it was hilarious and had to grab the camera to take a picture. Most of the time she is just very clingy. But only around me. She is quite a mommy's girl which I usually love, but it is the times when she won't let me take one step without her that can be a little rough. I am pretty nervous about how she is going to react when baby Liam comes in December. I guess she will have to learn fast.
Giving hugs to Evie at the splash park.

She also loves phones, any kind of phone. She holds them against her hear and says hi and bye. Just today she pretended she was talking to Daddy. "Hi Daddy, Bye Daddy."
I just love the shoes with her pajamas. She really does love shoes.

Singing and playing the piano before church.

Here is one of her grumpy faces. She had quite the scrape on her nose as well.

To try and control her tantrums we got a play pen and are using it as a time out pen. The only problem is that she asks to go to "ime ow" (time out). She has even gone so far as to bite me or hit me and then point to time out and ask to go. I think she is missing the point! The funny thing is that we leave her until she doesn't like it for a while. BUT she still wants to get in! We just hope it sinks in sometime!

I think this is about 23 weeks pregnant. I am not good at taking pictures of belly progress, so I figured I would try to document it.

Wearing two different shoes of mine

.
She also started to pretend to feed her baby some of her treats. I never taught her this, she just started doing it!

Here is the baby's face covered in cheese. Thanks for sharing Clara!

She still loves her babies(she is giving the baby kisses), and now loves the baby's stroller. It is is new little chair.

We can now fit her hair into piggy tails! I LOVE them!

She loves when Daddy comes home!

So sad, but I think her eyes look so pretty when she cries.

One of her favorite games is peekaboo. When she hides she says "where she go?" And she pops out to say "der she is!"

I have had such a blast spending every day with Clara this summer. She makes me so happy. I love her more than I can explain. It is like I am overflowing with love for her I can't contain it all. We are so very blessed in our life, we could not be happier!

Also just for my "records", Clara is off the charts for height again and has dropped to 63% for weight. It is so funny to see her next to most kids her age because she is so much taller!
