Catch up

I am way behind, so this is kind of a mish-mash of a bunch of stuff. March flew by so fast! I feel like life has been so hectic lately. Between Chris' work, bishopric duties, and travel, we hardly get to see him. That has been the hardest part. I feel like I am a single Mother at times. It really makes me appreciate what single Mom's must go through though. And to make things a little more complicated, we have been sick almost constantly the past few months. I feel like we really cannot get a break. I have decided, and you Mom's out there might agree, that having your kids sick is one of the hardest things. It totally stresses me out! We still have not figured Liam out quite yet. He is MUCH happier though. He is usually pretty happy which has been so wonderful. But he is still having issues with bloody stools. I have been completely avoiding ALL dairy, soy, and chocolate. It has been so very hard! I never realized how many foods have milk, or soy in them. And oh how I miss cheese! It has been challenging for sure. But the hardest part has been that Liam is still struggling. That more than anything else right now is stressing me out. I just wish there was an answer to what was bothering him. I feel like we are playing a guessing game with little success. I feel so bad because it is obviously something I am eating, since I am nursing. So at his 4 month appointment last week our pediatrician recommended seeing a specialist. Her wait time was over two months, so I opted to go with her partner. We go in two days, and I am really praying we can get some answers. At Liam's 4 month check up he was 12 lbs, which is just 30th percentile. He was 60th percentile for weight, and 25th for head. For most that might seem totally normal, but seeing as Clara was always 90th percentile or more most of her first year it is a little surprising. It makes me worry a little that he is not getting what he needs, or his body is too busy trying to figure out what is going on with his digestion that he is not growing like Clara did. But other than that he is doing great. He is such a smiley boy and I absolutely love it! He even giggled for the first time a couple of weeks ago when we were tickling him. He can also roll over now from his back to his side and also from his belly to his back. I feel like Liam's first four months has disappeared! But considering the fact that he cried most of the time, I am not so sure I mind. I love seeing his personality come out now. Here are some pictures of the past month or so... One of Clara's favorite things to do is sit on the counter and help with whatever I am doing. In this case, making macaroni and cheese.
She has been more into dressing up lately. She also loves to pick out her own clothes to wear every day. She is so stylin'! She also doesn't usually like to wear pants and a shirt when we are home, just one or the other.

Liam is getting chunky! Hard to imagine Clara was a lot bigger than he is.

Clara loves to take pictures with Liam. She loves her brother so much. He is really starting to warm up to her as well. He now smiles whenever he sees her. I love it! Let's just hope they still get along when they get a little older.

My little GQ man. :)

Clara also loves to talk on the phone, especially to "Gaga" (My mom). She is a total Gaga's girl lately.

Liam is pretty mellow. As you can see, he kind of has to be.

Clara loves read. Can you tell? She wanted to read all of these books. (also notice she still plays with her belly button)

Clara's first nursery picture.

One day when Clara was sick with croup. One of the many sicknesses to hit us lately.

Daddy painting Clara's nails.

Clara is so independent lately. It used to work to get her to follow me if I told her that I was leaving..not so much anymore. This particular day I was trying to get her inside. She would NOT come. Even when she thought I had left her outside. She just sat on the grass and played, while occasionally looking up with a pouty face. She is so stubborn!!

Clara now like to try to dress herself. Here she is putting on her sweater..upside-down.

Liam's first time in the bumbo!

She loves the snow!

And finally, frowny faces from both Clara and Liam. Clara, so dramatic. Liam, so sympathetic. But both so cute!
