Sixteen Weeks

I am now sixteen weeks pregnant! Being pregnant is good. It is hard, and I don't even have it as rough as many other women. I have been very blessed. Our baby is about five inches now! Our last appointment was so great. Usually ultrasounds are given on the first visit, at about 20 weeks to find out the gender if you choose, and then at about 37 weeks. But on our last visit we were the last people for the day. I love our doctor, Dr England. We were talking about how many ultra sounds we would get and I mentioned I wished that I could see the baby and how the baby looked right now. So Dr. England said well since you guys are the last of the day and you have waited a while we can go ahead and take a quick look. I was so excited! So we got to see our baby. This was at about 13 and a half weeks. The baby was moving all around! We could see little hands and feet and tiny little fingers and toes moving, and the heart, brain, and spine. It was the most amazing thing to see that! Chris and I were so excited! It made it so real to us. And to be totally honest it made it a little bit easier to go through the pregnancy symptoms. But everything is great, we are so blessed by the Lord. And we are just enjoying the time that we have to spend together...especially since so much will be changing in about five months! We are busy helping Chris' parents finish their new house. Although that means I see my husband less, it is great to help because they have always been there for us. Isn't family so great? Both of our families do so much for us and help us through anything we need. We love them so much!

Since I last posted, a lot of little things have happened. We went to the first Real Salt Lake game in the new stadium, we went to a great Halloween Party, Chris got his first letter of intent for his business! And lots of other things. I just need to post more often. I will try and do better!

I'm so so happy for you Brittany! Thanks for posting an update on where you're at in your pregnancy. I've been really into pregnancy lately, since my sister-in-law just had a natural birth at home. It's peaked my interest a bit :) I hope you continue to have a happy time being pregnant and look forward to hearing more!
