The road trip

So we made it home from Denver in one piece! We drove down there with Chris' family for his uncles funeral. I had never met any of his family on that side including his grandparents, although I had heard a lot of crazy stories about them. I knew I was in for a treat. And it certainly was. They are extremely blunt and quirky people. But that makes it all the more entertaining. I just love to watch those kind of people and I just chuckle.

Although it was a funeral there was SO much more laughing than there was crying. Oh man they are all just so crazy and so funny! I just sat and listened and laughed the whole time as they told stories.

And Clara did amazing! She was good almost the entire nine hour drive to Denver. She got really upset about a half hour before we got there because she was starving but other than that she was a dream. While we were there I think she was teething so she was a little challenging at moments but really did so well considering she was in a car seat for half the time while we were there. On the way home she was more than amazing! She was happy or sleeping the entire time except for a few unhappy mumbles that probably totalled two minutes. How lucky can I be?

We were in the city Littleton which is right next to Columbine so we decided to make a stop. it was a sombering experience. I felt wierd standing there taking a picture almost like I was intruding. It was strange to see it was just a normal high school, nothing different or special on the outside. But to know what took place there....We just sat there in silence for a few minutes. I am glad we got to stop.
Chris and Clara looking off into the distance..Deep in thought I am sure.

Chris' Aunt Tina (who lost her husband) she is an amazing woman!

These little Bumbo seats are amazing!
