Park City

We decided to take a little weekend getaway to Park City. We had never spent a night away from Clara and decided since we have another baby on the way we had better take advantage of the opportunity. So we left Clara with my Grandma Lettie, Grandpa Kelly, and her Aunt's Lacey and Morgan and headed off to Park City! The first night we just relaxed in the hotel since we did not even get there until the evening anyway. It was so nice to just relax. I have to enjoy those times because it does not happen very often and it really won't be happening by the time December rolls around. Then the next morning we packed up and headed out to breakfast and then on a hike. I have been so wanting to go on a hike. We chose Center Canyon. It was a beautiful hike! The trail was four miles long, and in my head it did not sound so bad! But I forgot to factor in early pregnancy symptoms. I think we only made it half way because I kept getting so dizzy and lightheaded. But even though we did not make it to the top it was still so nice getting to just spend time with Chris and enjoy nature.
A stream kept crossing right through the trail so we had to do some rock-hopping to get across.

After the hike our room was being cleaned so we were out in the hall and spotted the arcade room. Here is Chris saving the world from terrorists. What a hero!

Well, we made it one night without Clara :) We just missed her too much and knew she would love to play in the pool so we went to go pick her up. Yeah I know, we are kind of pathetic. But having Clara with us was so much fun. She had a blast swimming in the pool with us, as we knew she would.

Clara kicking her legs as fast as she could and splashing her and Daddy. She didn't care!

Here she is after swimming in the bathtub. She just loves to be in the water!

Okay so I just have to tell this story. Someday it will probably really embarrass Clara, but it is just too good not to share!
So it was probably midnight and Chris and I were up watching a movie. Clara had been asleep for a few hours at this point. So all of the sudden she starts to stir a little bit in her little bed and we hear her let out two big toots. And then we hear her say..."Wow, WOW!" Then she is immediately fast asleep again. I think she was sleep talking. But it was so hilarious, you just have to hear her say "wow". Chris and I were laughing so hard. I think that is one of the funniest moments with Clara ever. We have never taught her to say wow after she toots, she just did it!
Well that is the story, sorry Clara I could not resist.

The next morning it was time to go. On our way home we decided to have a little picnic so we headed up East Canyon to find a spot. Well Clara was not having it. She was screaming the ENTIRE time. So it ended up being an eat while we stop in a pullout on the side of the road. But regardless it was still fun. We had such a great time, Thanks Mom and Dad for watching Clara while we went, sorry we took her away early ;)

I loved the story of Clara in her sleep. I'd say that is absolutely a classic and can't be missed even if it might make her upset later. ; )

Looks like a fun trip! Park City is always a perfect pick. Only you two couldn't be away from your baby too long :)

That is so funny! We are going to Park City for our Anniversary and will feel the same way without Brody! Where did you stay? I have been looking at places all night and I can't decide! Congrats on your new little one by the way! You have one gorgeous family!
