So I realized I really have not documented Clara's progress and some of the new things she has learned in a while. She will be fourteen months in just one week! She is at such a funny stage at the moment. She is learning a ton and loves to learn new things, she is hardly eating anything anymore, and she is super animated and..moody. I can definitely tell she is all girl emotionally! One moment she is all smiles and super happy, the next she is giving me the grumpiest look! She also loves to give almost everyone she sees her grumpy face. I need to get another picture of it because the grumpy face has evolved to include fish lips and a wrinkly nose. SO she goes from silly face (mouth wide open in an O), to grumpy face, then to happy face ( a cheesy smile accomanied by a very cheesy laugh), all on command. She loves to show people her skills and see them react, and if they don't react she will continue to do it until they do. She LOVES to be the center of attention and to make us all laugh, she will do anything over and over if you laugh at her. She even starts to laugh at herself though sometimes it is a super fake laugh, but regardless it is still so cute.

She is walking REALLY well now and even running pretty well! She loves to run away from us when we chase her. I am loving that she can run around and get places by herself. It has made her much more independent, which means I have a little bit of room to get some things done. But she still runs to me and hangs on my legs and gives me leg hugs, which I just love! She is exploring everything she can now. The downside is trying to get her to sit still for any amount of time. I am constantly chasing her. I know she wishes that she had a little more room to run inside, but for her that is easily remedied..just go outside! She LOVES to be outside! She is constantly running to the door and begging to go outside. If we ever ask her if she wants to go outside she nods vigorously and starts kicking or dancing or bouncing. If she had it her way we would be outside ALL day every day. So if anyone has any good ideas of summer activities outside I am open to anything!

Clara loves to read her books. She goes to get her books and brings them to me to read to her. I ask her "do you want to sit on my lap?" In response she gets so excited and nods her head yes while bouncing up and down. Then we read our books! She especially loves books with animals in it. She really speaks well for her age and knows a bunch of animal sounds. Dog (woof woof), kitty cat (moww), Duck (kack), snake (sssss), lion (kkkkkk), cow (mmmm), horse (blowing raspberry), lizard (sticking tongue in and out), and chicken (ba bac). She also loves to say "wow". She also tries to count all the time and usually ends up saying "uu", ''Teeoo", "eee". It amazes me that she is already learning and trying to count! She is so entertaining and does something new and funny every day. Oh and she is finally (after trying to teach her for many many months now), learning how to be soft! It is much more urgent now that we have a new baby on the way! Oh and kind of as a side note, I am thinking it will be little boy. Ever since I was pretty young I felt like I would have a bunch of boys. I always wanted at least just one girl, and I got my sweet Clara! Now I feel like it will be a family of boys. We shall see!
