Halloween

I have always enjoyed Halloween, it is not my favorite holiday, but I find it fun to dress up for one day...well I used to. I find it to almost be more work now to try and figure out what to be and then have to go spend money on a costume. BUT, the Halloween spirit has been renewed for me. All because of Clara. I think kids make every holiday more fun. This year my cousin Jana and I decided to make our girls costumes. They are such cute little friends and just five months apart. Jana decided on making Evie a lady bug costume so I decided Clara would be a bumble bee. The costumes were really pretty easy to make and it was really fun. It was the best of all to see them in their costumes. It took some coaxing at first to get Clara into hers, but as soon as it was on she didn't want to take it off. ( I DID have to show her a youtube video of a girl dancing in a tutu first though.)

We decided that while the weather was still warm we would go take pictures of them at Gardner Villiage. Well, when we got there we realized it was 'Witches Night Out'. It was PACKED with people, but we decided to just try anyway. I am glad we did because ever since then either Evie or Clara have been sick, Chris has had nose surgery, Jana had a kidney infection, and then Clara had her tonsils and adnoids out. So it was good we got together then because I really wanted to get some pictures of them together. Unfortunately Clara had just woken up from her nap so she was a little resistant, but we got some cute pictures anyway.

Clara kept chasing Evie down to give her more hugs, and Evie wasn't so sure she wanted anymore hugs. It was pretty funny.

She was riveted on the pumpkins and there was NO getting her to look at us.

This was her face when she saw one of the big witches, I think it was dancing or something.

Here is Clara with Chris at the primary party. What a pair!

Halloween was a lot of fun with Clara. It turned out to be really rainy and cold so we took her trick or treating to just a few neighbors houses. But the part she loved most was seeing all of the kids come trick or treating to the door. She would yell "tick r teat" as soon as she heard the knocking on the door, and just started running to go get the door. It kept her entertained all night!

I can't believe how fast one year has gone by, it seems like we just had halloween last year. Look at how little she was!

It has been the best year ever!

Oh and here she was visiting Gaga and Papa..that is what she calls them now. I think that banana she has in her mouth may have been the one healthy thing she had that whole day.
