Happy Birthday Clara!

The pictures are a little backwards, but they are there. I am just happy I am blogging again. Clara's 2nd birthday was April 18, 2011. On Clara's actual birthday Daddy met us at the mall so that Clara could ride on the train, one of her favorite things! She loved it! And then we had family come over for cake and ice cream, while she opened her presents.

Clara trying to show us that she is two now!

Liam was a happy boy finally being able to have some real food.

Conner and Clara being artists on her new chalkboard from Gaga.

Her big gift from us was a bike. She was so excited. She even helped Daddy put it together after the party.

Clara was taste testing her cake before the party. :)

Earlier that day we were at the mall riding the train.

Liam ended up having an accident on Chris' shirt, so before he could go back to work we got him a new shirt. Clara decided the floor looked like a good place to lay down and drink her milk.
Then that night we had our family over for cake and ice cream and presents.

Clara is two years old! I cannot even believe how fast time has flown by. I swear just a few months ago she was just a little baby. She has been such a joy in our lives. She is spirited, funny, and super smart. She makes us laugh constantly. She is always singing something and surprisingly she sings on key! She is always going, going, going, nonstop. If I don't make her go to bed she would go and go until midnight..I have seen this happen a few times. She is such a sassy little girl as well. She knows exactly what she wants and she is not afraid to let anyone know. I really don't know where she got it. We love every little bit of her!

Since she has a few little friends we decided to do a birthday party at Jungle Jim's. This is how the day began...

Getting ready to head out.
This was her face when we first arrived and she saw all of the rides and fun toys! Pure joy!

After a while of riding the rides and playing it was time for some pizza! One thing that Clara will actually eat willingly. :)

Then after everyone had eaten it was time for cake and ice cream. But Clara only cared about one thing..blowing out the candles. She had been so excited and pretending to blow out candles for weeks prior to the party. So I started to light the candles and we began to sing Happy Birthday. Well, we didn't even get through the word Happy. As soon as those candles were lit she blew them right out! No one kept singing because we were all laughing so hard. And she didn't even flinch before saying "again?" So this time we sang the song first and then I re-lit the candles and she blew them out again. And I have to say that is what she probably talked about the most. She is such a funny little girl!
Then it was time for presents. She really was not as interested in presents as I thought she would be. She just wanted to get back to the rides!

Liam was just chillin' with Nicolle!

It was so much fun to have everyone come and have all of the kids play together. Clara still talks about her birthday party and Jungle Jim's and it has been three months, so I would say it was a success. She also sings happy birthday to herself almost every day still. Happy Birthday Clara, we love you more than we can ever express!!!
