We are finally back to the blog. A lot has happened since we last wrote. We took some great vacations with our families. On the fourth of July weekend we went boating with Chris' family at Flaming Gorge. It was so much fun! Needless to say, I did not get behind the boat this year, not even with my little tiny nieces and nephews.(they were under five) But I still had a blast. I did get in the boat so that was good! It was so nice up there..except there were these crazy windstorms! I have never seen anything like that before. We had to hold the tents down and put everything away. The crazy thing is how sudden they came, it was fine one second and the next we were running for our lives from the wind gods fury! Hahahaha! It was so fun to spend time with my cute little nephews and nieces. We had a really great time. Pictures are below.
The next trip we took was to Fish Lake with my family. We went the week after the 24th of July. Chris had such a hard time leaving work again!(he is weird and loves to work). So he finally said he would give me two weeks in a year to choose when we will take vacation. Isn't he so sweet?! Ha ha. ANYWAY, It was SO beautiful up there! And it was for sure my kind of camping..a trailer and flushing toilets! And even showers! The main event for the boys was fishing...all the time. I loved riding bikes and just walking around enjoying the beautiful scenery and the beauty of nature. BUT I did go fishing too. Early one morning with Chris my Dad and my brother Shane. It was so cold because we were out so early, and for all that you guessed it, I caught nothing. But it was still fun just spending time out on the boat. Oh I have to say my favorite part was using a bug zapper to kill all the bugs. I know I am strange, but I found so much pleasure in zapping those bugs and seeing the shock! As you may have guessed I have no sympathy for bugs. You could even call me a bug serial killer. Ha ha.. A guy I work with said that is just the first step, next will be small animals. Hahaha! So look out world!
THEN our next trip was youth conference and since Chris and I both work with the youth we both got to go. It was fun. OH MAN that first day it poured on us! I thought I would never get my clothes dry! We were hiking when all of the sudden the storm hit. Within five minutes the trail had become a stream, so needless to say we turned back. But luckily the rain left us alone for the last two days.
SO those are our fun vacations this summer.
