So yesterday Clara had her six month doctor's appointment. As I always do, I started to get super nervous about her appointment.(Yes I am a wimp) I was stressed about vaccinations because I just hate seeing her in pain, and I am always worried that it will adversely affect her. This time I had to go alone too! I have never gone alone, Chris has always been there with me(even at every appointment when I was pregnant he was there with me). I just get worried I will not remember what they tell me or ask the right questions. Well for this appointment I sort of had a mini heart attack. He listened to Clara's pulse and then told me she had a little heart murmur! BUT he was super quick to add that it was a totally normal murmur and nothing to worry about at all. It is like someones ear folding down a little bit, you can see it but it makes no difference. And he said most likely she will grow out of it anyway. Oh and we found out she is OFF THE CHARTS in her height, 97 percentile in her weight, and 95 percentile with her head. I just have to laugh at our big girl. Then her pediatrician recommended that she get the H1N1 shot before they run out. And I had been thinking about that and really wanted Clara to get it because of the way it has been shown to affect infants. He left it up to me to decide whether I wanted to just add the shot to her routine shots planned or wait a few weeks and come in again. I decided to split up the routine vaccinations and the H1N1 shot because of the unknown effects of that combination. In our past experience she SCREAMS and turns practically purple. So I was starting to super nervous.Then it was time...time to give her the shot.
(Drumroll please)
She did not even cry! The nurse was super fast and I don't think Clara even knew what happened to her. She let out a little noise and looked at me like, what just happened? And then she was fine!!!

On another note, My mom and I planned a bridal shower for my cousin Stacy who is getting married in December. It was so much fun and I am just so happy for her and her fiance Rob. They are so cute together. Here are a few pictures

I have been trying to get the H1N1 shot and still can't get it. So annoyed with the lack of organization for these shots.
