Now that the weather is getting colder I have not been getting outside as much. I just don't like the cold, but mostly because I don't want Clara to be cold. I am pretty sad that it is getting colder now. So now that I am inside most of the time, yes I am a hermit. But I am kind of going stir crazy. Worst of all, I currently have no car to go anywhere! SO I am pretty much stuck at home. What is there to do all day? I play with Clara and clean but you can only clean so much in one day, and you can only play so much with a six month old baby no matter how cute she is!
Which brings me to another point, as of yesterday Clara is now six months old!
I can't believe how fast it has gone and how much she has progressed. She has two teethmonths), she sits up by herself, she rolls over, she scoots slightly, she eats food, she grabs everything within sight, and she talks and squeals ALL the time.
Which brings up yet another point...She is SUCH a drama queen! If she does not see me, if she can't have something, basically if you are not doing just what she wants then she throws a little tantrum. I fear I am in for it when she gets older. I really don't want to spoil her because I really don't want a little brat on my hands. But it is SO hard not to right now because she is my only child. SHE IS what I do all day. And I have talked to some of my friends and they say that is just what happens with your first. So I guess that is normal but she is already a little princess! But I am trying to differentiate between when she is really upset or just throwing a little tantrum. Is it too young to start discipline? How do you discipline a six month old baby?I believe that discipline will be one of the most challenging parts of parenting. There is a definite balance. I am hoping if I lay down the laws when they are still pretty young hopefully it will stick. I DON'T KNOW! I guess I will just wait and see instead of stressing about it now.
But back to being home all day. I have had some time to finally listen to some music I love. Music makes me happy and good music calms my soul. So here are some of my favorites...
I HIGHLY recommend Imogen Heap, Hide and seek is my favorite song I have loved it for years and still just enjoy listening to all the beautiful harmonies. I highly recommend looking it up on You Tube or something. I would post it but I am not sure how to post a You Tube video on my blog.(I know, a little pathetic).
Some more of my favorites are Ingrid Michaelson, Owl City (Fireflies), Emmie Rossum(slow me down), and Norah Jones.
Well if anyone has any suggestions for hobbies to pick up or things to do at home in the wintertime let me know!
