Then we decided to go to a little town called Kehei not to far from the resort where the guys had been for breakfast the day before. (We also drove through on our way to church and saw some great beaches). It was such a laid back little town. The guys wanted to try paddle boarding. So we found a little place and rented some for two hours. The girls sat it out considering we had to get on an airplane later that day and we might not have much time to get ready. So below is Chris with his board and below him is Deboro with his board.
Once the guys were out there for a while and I saw how much fun they were having I kind of regretted not giving it a try. All of the guys had so much fun! We were all wishing we had done this the day before instead so that we had the whole day! But we still have fun hanging out on the beach.
Seriously, each one of these girls is amazing! From the left Kesha, Brittni, Alana, Shelby.
Just watching and listening to the waves crash on the rocks was so relaxing!
Here he is riding the waves! He eventually got so good that he was Jumping off the board and switching directions mid-wave! I was impressed.
They guys were only supposed to have the boards for two hours but Nick and Chris couldn't stop. I think when it hit 3 hours we finally had to stop them and head back.
After that Chris and I went to the little place they had the team breakfast and had lunch. It was great!
After lunch and some souvenir shopping for the family we met up with Kesha and Nick at the resort, because the boys couldn't get enough time in the water and wanted to squeeze every last minute they could in by boogie boarding..
Here is another view of the beach at our resort. So beautiful!
Kesha and I tried to soak up the last moments of sun on the beach. We had fun watching for little sand crabs and trying to get a decent picture. We ended up laughing so hard because most of the picture we took one of us was pulling some kind of face or had a double chin etc. Finally we got a good one or two.
After the beach we had to head back and get ready to go to the airport. But....
not before stopping for one last Hawaiian Ice! I am closing my eyes in the picture but at least I look happy! Haha. And I was. Hawaii was the best vacation I have ever had! Maui was a beautiful place with so much to do. And getting to spend some time with great friends and then some time with just Chris and I was much needed and very much enjoyed!
